The Allied Irish Bank won the National Banks and Police Services of Ireland Soccer Tournament, which were hosted by the PSNI Football Association in Belfast on the 18th-19th May 2007.

Participating teams-:

1. PSNI DCU Representative Team - (Hosts)
2. An Garda Siochana
3. Bank of Ireland National Soccer Team
4. Allied Irish Bank National Soccer Team

Results from the Tournament were as follows-:

PSNI    2 - 0 BOI
AIB      0 - 2 GARDA

PSNI     2 - 3 AIB
GARDA   0 - 3 BOI

PSNI    3 - 1 GARDA
BOI      0 - 4 AIB

Although the PSNI and AIB finished on top with 6 points each the competition rules declared the winner on a 'head to head', which therefore resulted in the AIB winning the tournament trophy kindly donated by the Bank of Ireland Sports Association

We would like to thank MAXOL-IRELAND and COCA-COLA LTD for their sponsorship support.

On a sadder note PSNI fullback Geordie Stewart fractured and chipped a bone in his ankle when he landed awkwardly after jumping for a ball in the opposing Garda penalty area. May we on behalf of our committee & members and all the participating players & officials wish him a speedy recovery.
